The students in my homeroom will be provided with a weekly homework tracker. They are responsible for recording the homework daily. I ask that parents please check and sign the traker nightly.

You can also find assignments including upcoming homework and/or tests and quizes for the week by clicking on class calendar.

    Mrs. Milberger and Homework.....

    1. Homework is a school and home process. Teachers and families should work together. One of the keys to success at school is active engagement at home. Set up expectations and a homework routine.

    2. Homework should be purposeful.....not "busy work!" I do my very best to assign homework as needed.

    3. Homework is a time to practice skills. It shouldn't last more than 30 minutes a night. (1st grade = 10 minutes, 2nd grade = 20 minutes, 3rd grade = 30 minutes and so on in the elementary years)

    4. Homework is a process to learn responsibility! This is a big one in third grade. When a student forgets his/her homework it is not the end of the world, it is a time to take ownership, accept consequences, and commit to doing better next time.

    5. Homework should be an expected norm in the foundation for lifelong learning!

    6. Parents, please work with me this year to help teach your child good study habits and time management skills that will last a lifetime!
