"My students are very passionate about helping animals," said Highlands Elementary 4th grade teacher Ms. Leta Cirigliano, who supported the student-led project to collect donations for the Zen Cat Sanctuary in New Kensington. "Collecting donations was their idea," she said. Among the classroom's donations were food, treats, toys and paper towels. Zen Cat Sanctuary posted a public thank you on Facebook. Way to go, students!
