Ms. Megan McKenna's and Mr. Paul Manno's 7th Grade English / Language Arts classes recently visited the HMS Library Media Center for a "Book Tasting". Students were given the opportunity to sample a variety of books in 6 genres, traveling to different tables and sampling various "courses" in a cafe-style setting. They reflected on what they liked and what they disliked about each genre, and had the opportunity to discuss their thoughts with their peers as well as Ms. McKenna, Mr. Manno, and Mrs. Jen Kosior, the Library Media Specialist. This unique Book Tasting Experience provided students with a glimpse into new worlds of literature, offering a taste of something new and exciting.
