Annual Cabaret Concert Features Musical Alumni, Raises Money for "Footloose" Musical
02/13/2025
The 13th Annual Highlands Musical Alumni Cabaret Concert on Saturday, Feb. 1 raised over $2,200 to benefit this year's musical production of Footloose on March 21-23, 2025.
Directed and coordinated by High School Choral / Musical Director Mr. Michael Zeiler, this year’s Cabaret Concert was themed “'80s Blast from the Past”. All songs performed were from the 1980s -- the decade when the Footloose movie was released.
In addition to performances by Highlands Musical Alumni, the event featured the High School's Honors Choir, a Senior Musical Cast Recognition and the 2025 HHS Footloose Musical Cast. Prior to the finale performance of "You're the Inspiration" by all the performers (video below), Zeiler was recognized for celebrating his 15th year as the Highlands Musical Director. Zeiler and his current music students opened the concert with a choreographed musical montage of the past 14 musicals (video below).
Special thanks to all the performers, parent and staff volunteers, and businesses/individuals who helped make this event a huge success! "This was by far the best Cabaret we’ve ever had, and it’s all thanks to incredible talent, a passion for performing and musical skills," said Zeiler. "There are truly no words to express how grateful I am."
