When first grade teacher Mrs. Kara Walter recently experienced computer difficulties, Highlands Elementary first grader Crosby Dadowski came to the rescue.
“During this remote learning time, I have been videoing myself doing the calendar lesson, not only to keep [the students'] math skills sharp, but also so the kids could see and hear something familiar,” said Mrs. Walter. When she was unable to record this online calendar lesson for her students because of technical difficulties, Crosby and his family stepped in to help. They accessed the recording website, and Crosby quickly learned how to navigate it to create the entire 7-minute calendar lesson for her! Mrs. Walter was surprised and overjoyed. “It literally brought tears to my eyes,” she said.

Way to go, Crosby!
And, a special thank you to parents Scott & Jenny Dadowski!
