Highlands Honors Top Academic Achievers in Grades 5-8

Highlands School District recognized nearly 150 top achievers in grades 5-8 at the annual Academic Honors Celebration on May 22 at Highlands Middle School. The Celebration honored students in grades 6-8 who have earned a 96% or higher or are one of the top 10 in their grade level. Students in grade 5 who have earned a 95% or higher or are in the top 10 in their grade level were also honored.
The program featured entertainment by the Honors Jazz Band under the direction of Mr. Lee Lynn. The Academic Address was delivered by the district's Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Monique Mawhinney. The Presentation of Awards were given by Grandview principals Ms. Cathy Russo and Mr. Dan Gottron and Middle School principals Dr. Kimberly Price and Mrs. Debbie Beucker.
