CONGRATULATIONS to senior Morgan Smith for his commitment to continue his academic and football career at Saint Vincent College. The Bearcats compete in NCAA Division III as a member of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).

The Highlands Athletic Department celebrated Morgan’s commitment on March 26 with his parents, David and Jennifer Smith, his brother Justin Moser (HHS Class of 2018), football coaches, teammates and mentors.

Morgan only started playing football in his junior year, but he quickly earned a spot as a Varsity starter for the past two years. He received an All-Conference Award this past year and was nominated by his football coaches for a certificate of recognition from the Highlands School Board for his exceptional leadership on the team.

Morgan, who plans to study business at Saint Vincent, chose the college for its close-knit community and excellent football coaching staff. From the first day he met the coaches, he knew he wanted to join the team. “The sense of building something with a recently hired coaching staff really intrigued me,” said Morgan. “I love the idea of helping forge something and leaving it better than you found it,” he said.

Morgan is grateful for all of the support he’s received throughout the years. “I want to recognize and thank all of the people who have helped me shape a path to succeed. You know who you are, and you know the difference you’ve made,” he said.

Congratulations and best of luck, Morgan!
