It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to Highlands Middle School. Assistant Principal Ms. Debbie Beucker and I are proud to have the opportunity to lead such a talented and focused community of learners into the 2011-2012 school year. The students and staff in this building have done and will continue to do outstanding things throughout the upcoming years.
I want to thank you for your encouragement and support as we begin a brand new chapter in your student’s education. While the summer has been a year of challenge and change for our school district, I want to assure you that the quality of education your child will receive while attending Highlands Middle School will not diminish. The faculty and staff are committed to the success of our students. This will be an outstanding school year.
Our focus at the Middle School will continue to be driven by Highlands School District’s Vision For Success. It is within the guidelines of this vision that we set our goals and objectives. We expect our students to excel above and beyond the norm and we ask that you join us as we create responsible, caring leaders for the future. FRIDAY FUN: A fundraiser to benefit Highlands will be held on Friday, May 18 at Fun Fest in Harmar. From 1-4pm, you can play unlimited games of bowling and laser tag for only $10. Download the flyer and make sure you mention Highlands upon check in at the counter!
GRADES 6-12 STUDENTS/PARENTS: There will be a 2-hour delay due to final exams on Monday, June 4 and Tuesday, June 5 for Middle and High School students. Bus schedules will be adjusted accordingly.
MATH TUTORING is available for students in grades 6-8 every Tue & Wed from 2:45-3:45pm in room 172 at the MS. Students must sign up daily outside of room 172. Space is limited to 20 students.
