Applications for free or reduced price breakfast and lunch will be given to all Highlands students during the first week of school to take home to parents, but parents may apply for eligibility at any time during the year if there are any changes in family size or incomeAdditional applications for free or reduced meals will be available at all schools or by clicking on the above link.
 
As part of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program, Highlands School District will follow the family size and income scales established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to determine eligibility.
 
Regular school meal prices for 2012-13 are $1.25 for breakfast, $1.95 for K-5 lunches, and $2.20 for Middle School and High School lunches. Reduced school meal prices for all grades are $.30 for breakfast and $.40 for lunch. Elementary students may choose either the daily menu or a bag lunch. Middle School and High School students may choose from the salad bar, assorted cold sandwiches, and assorted fruit.
