Students can practice their math, science, and language arts skills everyday by logging onto Study Island. There are also many other websites that are helpful in practicing skills. Spending at least 15 minutes on Study Island every day will help your child review and prepare for the PSSAs.
Multiplication facts are very important! Ask your child basic facts each day to help them practice.
*Facts most often missed: 6x6=36, 6x7=42, 6x8=48, 7x7=49, 7x8=56, 8x8=64
Have your child read an analog clock and ask them what time it is. Students struggle daily reading analog clocks because we have become such a digital world. There is always a couple questions about time on the PSSA tests.
Measurement seems to be another struggle with the students. Having your child practice measuring to the nearest inch and nearest quarter inch can help a lot!
