Welcome

Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2011--2012 school year!  Mr. Bennis and I are very excited and proud to have the opportunity to work at the high school level and continue our partnership with all of you!   We are also thrilled to be able to participate in Highlands High School’s tradition of excellence.

In order to carry out the goals outlined in the district’s Vision for Success, we will focus on three initiatives:

·         Creating a student-centered, rigorous, and relevant educational experience for all students

·         Improving the achievement of all students on standardized tests including PSSA, SAT, 4-Sight, Keystone Exams and AP Exams

·         Cultivating a school climate that respects all stakeholders, sets high expectations for all students, encourages collaboration, and assists struggling students

As we journey through the year together, it is important that we make communication a top priority.   Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teachers, guidance counselors, Mr. Bennis or myself with questions, concerns and suggestions.  We look forward to a great year!

Sincerely,

Cathy Russo, Principal
