Welcome

Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2012--2013 school year! We at HHS are committed to cultivating a positive, learning-centered and results-focused environment in order to prepare our students for life after high school.

We believe that success is not dependent on chance, but on choice. And we are committed to helping each student discover what most successful people know -- that success comes as a result of deliberate and intentional effort. As Jim Collins states in his book Good to Great, “Good to great comes about by a cumulative process—step by step, action by action, decision by decision, ….(which) adds up to sustained and spectacular results.” It is our hope and expectation that each of our students will do great things — whether it is in the classroom, in extracurricular activities, in the visual and performing arts, on the athletic field, or in the community.

As we journey through this year together, please remember that all of us at HHS are here to help our students reach their goals. Please do not hesitate to contact the teachers, guidance counselors, Mr. Bennis or myself with questions, concerns and suggestions. It is an honor to work with so many talented, hard-working and spirited students every day. Thank you for your support and involvement. We look forward to another great year!

Sincerely,
Cathy Russo, Principal
